MENA Research Center

Application Process: 

  • Apply by May 25th, 2025

  • Successful candidates will be notified via email. 

  • Candidates applying for leadership positions will undergo interviews during the summer.​ 

 

​​Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Must be a current student or a young graduate (within the last five years). 

  • Candidates must demonstrate a clear interest in MENA.

  • Leadership positions are only open to residents of MENA countries. Applicants from other locations are encouraged to apply for general membership in the RRCs sections.

 

Available Sections:

  • Research and Reports Drafting: This section is responsible for conducting in-depth regional analysis, identifying emerging trends, and drafting reports on political, economic, and social developments. Members work closely with experts, policymakers, and academic sources to produce high-quality research that contributes to the Andalus Committee’s broader policy recommendations. Strong analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills are required. Past experience in policy-making is a strong asset.

  • Communications: The Communications team manages the RRC’s external branding and visibility. Responsibilities include social media management, reports formatting, and content creation. Candidates with experience in media and branding are encouraged to apply.

Leadership Positions (Only open to residents of MENA countries):

  • Regional Director – The highest leadership position within the RRC, responsible for overall strategy and research direction. The Regional Director represents the RRC within the Andalus Committee’s broader structure and ensures the quality and impact of its work.

  • Deputy Director – Supports the Regional Director in managing operations, coordinating research efforts, and overseeing team activities. The Deputy Director plays a crucial role in maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring seamless collaboration between sections.

  • Head of Research – Leads the research team, defining priority topics, methodologies, and analytical approaches. The Head of Research ensures that all reports are evidence-based, and policy-relevant.

  • Editorial Head – Oversees the production and publication of research outputs, ensuring high editorial standards, consistency, clarity and alignment with the Committee’s objectives. The Editorial Manager works closely with the Head of Research.

  • Communications Head – Manages the RCC’s external communications, including social media and reports formatting. Responsibilities include content creation, branding, and promoting the RRC’s initiatives to a broader audience.

Our MENA Regional Research Center (RRC) serves as a dedicated hub for in-depth research and analysis on MENA issues. By connecting students from the region with those passionate about MENA, the RRC strengthens the Andalus Committee's global presence and fosters a deeper understanding of this vital area within the Global South.
