On February 20, 2025, the Sciences Po Paris Branch of the Andalus Committee visited the Embassy of Haiti to France, for our first official event as a recognized student initiative at Sciences Po.

We had a rich discussion with H.E. Louino Volcy, Chargé d’Affaires of Haiti to France, exploring the embassy’s work and missions. The conversation highlighted Haiti’s defining position in the global struggle for freedom and self-determination, its 1804 evolution having shaped political movements across the Americas and beyond. We also mentioned Haiti’s young and ambitious population, vibrant cultural heritage, and committed diaspora, which represent powerful drivers of renewal and development.
