Berlin Office

​​Application Process:

  • The deadline for applications is May 25th, 2025.

  • Successful candidates will be notified via email.

  • Candidates applying for leadership positions will undergo interviews during the summer.​

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a current student or a graduate (within the last five years).

  • Residency in the following countries is required: Germany, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria

  • The Events, Outreach, and Treasury teams, as well as leadership positions, are open exclusively to residents of Berlin. Applicants from other locations can apply to our Research and Communications teams.

  • Applications must be submitted before the deadline (May 25th).

Available Sections:

  • Research and Reports Drafting: This team is responsible for conducting in-depth research and drafting policy reports on key global issues, focusing on emerging opportunities in the Global South. Members will analyze geopolitical and economic trends, engage with experts, and contribute to recommendations for policymakers. Strong analytical and writing skills are required. Past experience in policy-making is a strong asset.

  • Communications: This section manages the CO’s external communications, including social media, reports formatting, and events promotion. Responsibilities include content creation, branding, and promoting the CO’s initiatives to a broader audience. Experience in media, graphic design, or digital marketing is a plus.

  • Outreach (Only open to residents of Berlin): The Outreach team is responsible for expanding the CO's network by engaging with policy-makers, diplomats, experts and institutions in the country of their office. Team members work to build partnerships, coordinate high-level engagements and events, in coordination with the Executive Board. Strong interpersonal and networking skills are essential.

  • Events (Only open to residents of Berlin): The Events team organizes the CO’s lectures, panels, and discussions, featuring global policymakers, diplomats, and scholars. Members coordinate logistics, speaker engagement, and event promotion, ensuring impactful and well-executed initiatives.

  • Treasury (Only open to residents of Berlin): The CO’s Treasury team oversees financial planning, fundraising strategies, and budget management, in coordination with the Executive Board. Applicants should have experience or interest in finance and fundraising. ​

Leadership Positions (Only open to residents of Berlin):

  • President – Provides overall leadership and vision for the CO. 

  • Vice President – Supports the President and oversees multiple sections. 

  • Outreach Head – Leads engagement with policymakers, institutions, and partners. 

  • Editorial Head – Supervises research and report publication processes. 

  • Communications Head – Manages the CO’s designs and branding. 

  • Treasurer – Oversees financial planning and fundraising initiatives. 

  • Events Head – Organizes conferences, speaker events, and high-level discussions.

The Berlin Office is the Andalus Committee's Country Office (CO) for Germany. Based at Freie Universität Berlin, it is open to all students and recent graduates (up to five years) currently based in Germany and eligible countries. It is responsible for drafting policy recommendations and organizing events related to our activities throughout Germany.
